Public Interest Alberta launches a Reality Check on post-secondary education
Today, Public Interest Alberta, along with partner organizations, has launched a Post-Secondary Education Reality Check campaign.
The provincial government has been conducting a review of Alberta's post-secondary education system behind closed doors all summer. Our campaign will change the dynamics of the review by actively seeking the involvement of citizens throughout Alberta.
PIA will be distributing 20,000 copies of an information booklet designed to provide information on each of the core themes discussed in the government's review: funding, affordability, access, and quality. The public can add their voice to the campaign by completing the report card, included in the booklet, and grading the government on its commitment to post-secondary education. Albertans will also be able to provide their key concerns and top directions by participating in the campaign and can send an e-mail directly to the Minister of Advanced Education and your MLA. Conveniently, all of the campaigns key features are available online at http://www.pialberta.org/
