The Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB) is seeking professionals to participate in an important event that will help to set the passing score standards for newly-constructed ASWB Associate examinations.

Participants selected to attend this event will be a part of the subject matter expert group that will recommend the passing standards for the new associate (diploma) social work licensing examination to be released in 2011. This meeting will bring together social workers from jurisdictions in Canada and the U.S. to focus on the demonstration of associate-level social work competency through the examination process.

Appointed members will be required to attend a 2-day meeting near Washington, DC October 1-3, 2010.  All travel, meal, and lodging expenses will be paid by ASWB. Individuals who hold diplomas in social work are strongly encourage to apply.

To be considered for this project, applicants must complete a brief demographic questionnaire and submit a resume or vitae to lharless@aswb.org. The questionnaire can be found at www.aswb.org . DEADLINE FOR SUBMISSION:  FRIDAY, AUGUST 13, 2010.  All successful applicants will be required to sign confidentiality agreements regarding the ASWB examinations and examination program.
