Awards Recipients - Presented at 2010 AGM

ACSW Awards Recipients 2010The ACSW Award for Excellence in Social Work Practice recognizes registered social workers who have exhibited exemplary skills and commitment to the Code of Ethics and mission of the ACSW while engaged in providing service to clients in a variety of practice settings and professional experiences.
This year four individuals are recipients of this award:
Elaine Eskow, Laurel Fitzsimonds, Connie Olsen and Connie Zacharias.
The John Hutton Memorial Award for Social Action/Policy recognizes members in good standing who have made an outstanding contribution to the profession of social work and the community through advocacy, social action, policy development/analysis, program development or political action aimed at enhancing social functioning, service delivery systems and the environments in which we work with our clients.
This year's recipients of this award are Carolyn and Butch Nutter
The ACSW Honourary Membership is awarded to non-social workers who have made a significant contribution to the values and ideals inherent in the profession of social work and who have advanced the goals of the ACSW.
This year's recipient of the ACSW Honourary Membership is Jan Reimer.
Canadian Association of Social Workers Distinguished Service Award is given yearly on the occasion of National Social Work Month to recognize strong advocates for the profession in each province who have represented social work in an exemplary manner and whose activities have contributed toward the public understanding of the social work profession.
This year's recipient of this award is Bernadette Iahtail.
