Excessively lenient tax and royalty rates are to blame for the Alberta government's financial struggles, says a new advertising campaign set to hit provincial airwaves, mailboxes and computer screens in the next few weeks.
The $200,000 Better Way Alberta campaign makes the case that deficit budgets and service cutbacks are not due to government overspending, but rather an unwillingness to force more revenue from high-earning individuals, corporations and energy companies.
