The Clinical Social Work Registry is a means by which social workers who have reached an advanced practice standing may be recognized. It is a voluntary registry. Only social workers on the registry may use the title ‘Clinical Social Worker’ but this does not limit who may practice clinical social work. Admission to the registry requires a detailed application, through which applicants must demonstrate their level of knowledge, skill and ability in clinical social work practice, as well as passing a clinical social work exam.
