WORKSHOP: Managing stress in the Workplace -*3 hours - agency chooses time frame
The inevitability of stress in the workplace is a reality in our present day and age. This workshop will examine factors associated with stress in the workplace: definition of stress; signs and signs and symptoms; possible sources; positive and negative coping strategies; practical techniques for breaking the cycle; and dealing with Pornography in the Workplace.

Dates and Times:
* WEEKDAYS OR WEEKENDS: As requested by your organization.

ADAPTATIONS: Willing to meet with individuals, or, smaller groups for 'in house' needs as requested.

LOCATION: Workshops are held at the location of the Sponsoring Agency. 


 

Dr. Francis holds a Bachelors in Education, Masters in Educational Psychology, and Doctorate in Counseling. She has studied various languages in the past including ASL and Spanish. Dr. Francis teaches full-time in the day, as well does Counseling, Notary Public, & Commissioner of Oath work in the community.

Dr. Francis has presented and co-presented at a variety of conferences/workshops locally and provincially in the Human Services Sector around topics such as: Conflict Resolution, Reducing Barriers, Support Strategies At-risk Youth, Gang Culture, Conflict Resolution, Goal Setting, Sexual Abuse, Suicide Prevention & Intervention, Grief Cycle & Management, Anger Management, Fetal Alcohol Syndrome, and Languages. She holds a variety of certificates such as: America’s National Council on Family Relations; Sexual Abuse Awareness Conference; Fetal Alcohol Syndrome and Possible Prenatal Alcohol-related Effects; Psychological and Civil Litigation: Assessing Emotional Damage and other Psycho-Legal Evaluations; Crisis Prevention Intervention; Suicide Prevention Training; and, Expanding Your Leadership Role.

As well, she has sat/ sits on a variety of Community Advisory Boards inclusive being: ALBERTA GOVERNMENT STANDING COMMITTEES; ALBERTA CORRECTIONAL EDUCATORS ASSOCIATION; NORTHERN ALBERTA ALLIANCE ON RACE RELATIONS (NAAR). * CITY OF EDMONTON: SAFER CITIES. Sub-Committee: Community Initiative on Family Violence. Chair: Preventative Strategies; Chair: Public Education Committee. Member: Coordinating Board. Member: Protocol Working Group; EDMONTON CHINESE COMMUNITY CENTRE (Area: Youth Violence) Advisory Board Member. NORTHERN ALBERTA ALLIANCE ON RACE RELATIONS (NAAR); UNIVERSITY OF ALBERTA LEGAL STUDIES PROGRAM: IMMIGRATION ISSUES; and The ALBERTA TEACHERS Association’s (Edmonton local) Communications Standing Committee.
