Printable

Imagine being inspired and looking forward to your work each day. Feeling energized and excited about what you do. Being connected with your colleagues and sharing a common purpose. Finding fulfillment through your work and knowing that you are making a difference. This is spirit at work and the power is within each of us to create it, simply by rethinking work.

This workshop is powerful when taken individually, but the magic happens when a team or group participates together.

In this 1 or 2 day Category A workshop, you will:

Explore the meaning and dimensions of spirit at work
Determine the four paths to spirit at work
Obtain your spirit at work score
Identify and experience key actions to foster spirit at work
Create a personal plan to enhance your spirit at work

How it Works

Workshops are custom designed to meet the needs of the sponsoring agency. They are held at a time convenient for the Sponsoring Agency and at a location of their choice. Certificates of attendance and Category A credits are included.

Instructor

Val Kinjerski, MSW, PhD, RSW is a leader and expert on the topic of Spirit at Work. Her passion for spirit at work builds on a long standing concern about stress and burnout in social work. Prior to making spirit at work her life’s work, Val worked in social service for 18 years in positions ranging from front-line to senior management so she appreciates the many challenges faced in social work today.

Val’s research is published in management, leadership, health care, and career journals and presented at national and international conferences. Having developed the first scientific process to actually measure spirit at work, Val has shown that applying these strategies not only increases spirit at work, but job satisfaction, commitment, teamwork and morale. And absenteeism and turnover go down.

Today, Dr. Kinjerski applies this knowledge to assist individuals and organizations in tapping into this great resource of inner spirit to revitalize and recharge the workplace. She is the author of Rethinking Your Work: Getting to the Heart of What Matters and Rethinking Your Work Guidebook: How to Get to the Heart of What Matters.
