The Professional Social Work Education Board is a regulatory committee that is comprised of 10 Registered Social Workers, including three representatives of social work education programs, two representatives of employing organizations and five ACSW members appointed by Council, one of whom is designated to act as chair. The Executive Director and Registrar is an ex-officio member of this Board. The PSWEB identifies how social work education programs will be evaluated for approved program status, reviews program applications for approved program status, and makes recommendations to Council regarding which social work education programs should be granted approved program status. The PSWEB also identifies processes for monitoring approved programs in accordance with established competencies and standards.
